K, what this TOAD thing? Did a search, only eight hits, none with definition or acronym.

Totally outragous and dead?
Tremendously oversized animal, deceased?

Oh, the beach is Leo Carrillo state beach, north end of Malibu. Most dived beach in Malibu, hence the surprise at the monster bug.
