:( My part of the Texas Gulf is flooded. We have 3 rivers that empty into the gulf, and all this rain from up country has the water the color of chocolate. Blue water is over 50 miles out. It was 2-4's on Saturday;wasn't that bad but the water clarity was terrible. Try it again in a few weeks.

Seahuntress,

I feel for you. We had a "100 year flood" around here a few years back, and the (normally dry) rivers dumped huge amount of mud and debris into the waters offshore.

It took weeks for the water to clear up, and for some time after that we had giant floating mats of brush and logs to contend with. With all the "dead heads" it made boating very nerve wracking.

Hope things improve for you and your area soon. I passed through DFW on my way to and from the recent Blue Wild Expo in Florida, and was amazed by the rainfall and the amount of standing water across the landscape. Don't float away!

Hey Chip,

Great to hear from you again. I hated to turn my Freedivers around. One of my Divers..Freediving-los is from California.... They're getting ready for Africa and Spain next week. But we'll hit it hard in August and the winter months. Texas Deepblue is always so beautiful this time of year, but you can't "win em all"
I took them Home an then went partying with my friends at Bridge Harbor. ;)

We had a boat race, and I won....:)

for the next couple of months be on the lookout for logs floating in the gulf. Especially out of freeport. Nothing is worse then having to use your diving gear as a life raft!

Yep we had to dodge a few logs Saturday. I believe the diving is better down your way at this time.
