Im In The Market For A New Cannister Light. I Just Got A Refund On My Oms Phantom Hid That Lasted A Whopping 3 Dives Before The Ballast Burned Out. My Lds Said Out Of An Order Of 10 Lights, 9 Were Returned. I Would Like To Know Which You Use Or Reccomend And Why. Also Who Would You Order From? I Cant Say Anything Good About Oms After This Last Experience So They Are Out For Sure! Divers supply in Macon on the other hand give me a refund. no questions asked! Also I Have A Goodman Handle For The Phantom If One Of You Other Poor Soles Bought One Like I Did.

I like my Green Force HID light alot, but they were pricks about replacing their overpriced handheld that leaked on me twice (they didn't replace it, their warranty doesn't cover their batteries leaking, WTF ever). If I had to do it again, I'd PM Dagodiver and pay him whatever he wants and feed him lots of beer, while begging him to make me one.

Shane,
My 30 watt TT is fine now, the battery pack was bad.
PLEASE take it cave diving some time and let me know if it is any good.
The burn test was over 2.5 hours.
thanks
Dago.

Divers supply had a Salvo on the shelf. I opted to research it first before purchasing. I think i will go pick it up this weekend. Thanks for the info guys!

Tackle Shack is donating a $500 Halcyon Cave Light to the St. Pete Open. Come win it before you have to buy it.

I have a Halcyon 9AH with 10W and 50W HID heads with wet connects that has been flawless for several hundred dives. I would buy Salvo though if I paid retail. Halcyon is over priced although Salvo is getting up there also. The quality on Salvo is as good or better and they have very well documented excellent customer service. I got a more than 1/2 price deal on the Halcyon that I couldn't refuse.
I use the 50W HID head for video and the 10W for Cave and Wreck. With the 9AH and 10W head I get more than the 8 hours expected burn.

I think it's an even better deal since I've never seen a Halcyon cannister light for less than $625. ;)

I don't have the actual model number because we have not picked it up yet, but Tackle Shack really stepped up this year with another great kayak, camo masks, camo fins, a BC, several high dollar wood and pipe guns, the cave light, regulator, computer/console, nautical charts, camo wetsuit, DIN to DIN transfill whip, etc, etc. Easily over $7,000 in prizes just from Tackle Shack.

I Picked Up My Salvo 10 Watt Hid Sunday From Divers Supply In Macon. Charged It Over Night, Filled The Sink With Water And Put The Light Head In It To Try It Out. Got A Little Flash But That Was It. I Called Salvo And Their Telling Me A Bulb Or Ballast. Looks Like I Will Be Heading Back To The Dive Shop Again For An Exchange. It Doesn't Look Like I Was Meant To Own A Cannister Light.
