going to kauai next week; any tips?

I have never been and I am going next monday for a week for the honeymoon and want to get some spearfishing in as much as possible. I breifly searched the web for spearfishing kauai and there isn't much at all so any info is a great help!

I saw a guy come out of the water at the end of the road above Princeville with a stringer full of fish. Huge parrots and tangs and some other stuff. He was way dialed in. His buddy had a lot of fish too. Careful though, this is the area where Bethany Hamilton, the young surfer girl, got her arm bit off by a tiger shark. I was told that the helicopter guys see lots of sharks trailing the Kayaks in this area. there are some good drop offs here at the outside of the reef and to the right of the channel at the far north end of the beach. let us know how it went when you get back. I am going to the big island next week. don't know if I have the desire to spearfish there or not.
