I'm not gonna call this a report since my speargun never touched the water. The vis was 'okay' for our area. It was probably about 4.5ft. There was a lot of baitfish but I didn't see anything big enough to spear. Saw a bunch of little 1" or so baby sheepshead so hopefully they'll grow by this fall. There were a bunch of turtles too on both sides. The wind is supposed to lay down tonight and I'll probably head out tomorrow during lunch, that may put me on an outgoing tide but screw it I'm going anyways. Hopefully it will clear up.

THanks for the report....I might get down in the next few days. Let me know when you plan on going. Maybe I can get there a and dive with you. I can bring my kayak and tow it to keep boats off us.
I might head back out Monday and/or Tuesday around noonish just for a little bit. I'm not planning on bringing a gun, just my camera. I just have a small grace period between school and work. Unfortunately it looks like the surf is going to kick up Thursday so it may be a little while before the next clear period.

let me know how it is today....if it's clear I'll head down Tuesday or wednesday
Well I didn't end up with enough time to go diving Mon or Tues but I am definitely heading down tomorrow around noon. One of my buddies went to the north jetty today and said it was clear and there were reds, trout, and big mangroves hanging around the end.

I went out today around 11 to 2:30pm. Water was pretty crappy about 4-6 vis with worse in the channel. Saw tons of turtles, which is kinda scarey...guess what loves to much on small turtles....BIG SHARKS :) anyway I took my 90cm gun which was too big due to vis limitations. A 50-60cm gun would be ideal. Saw a mangrove but couldn't get a shot on it, other then that just the SHeepie I had for dinner tonight :) Wind was picking up so I'm not sure how nice it will be out tomarrow. if you can get there before the outgoing tide.
