We only did 2 tanks each and were off the water before noon. 82 degrees and incredible 100 feet of Viz. You splashed and instantly saw the reef below. Current was ripping at 3 knots and I had to hand grab every bug and yank it out. Loopers were marginally useable in the blowing current. I counted over 125 boats just in my view while I was waiting on divers below and every square inch of reef was being hammered hard. 25 bugs in the cooler, but still a nice start to the season.

That current does make it tough. Nice haul though. I know you guys weren't shooting, but how was the fish life?

Great Job:

The "Cuban Pig" crew ended the day with 24 bugs, average size 6 lbs. We didn't limit out but they were all very large. We also boated two good sized gags and Tony got the largest hog fish I have ever seen to come out of Sebastian.

One thing's for sure, I always appreciate your posts. Thanks for all the updates on conditions out there bro.
Went out today for day 2 of miniseason. Is it just me, or does anyone else prefer hunting fish over looking for critters in the cracks?
