I plan on going out of Venice to spear a few on Saturday. I have a Sea Cat with room for one diver to split expenses. Anyone interested? PM me.

Nola, haven't heard about any fish anywhere right now. Suggestion, if you can find good water in close, try it. Lemons and Snapper will probably be in less than 100ft of water.

I shot a nice AJ (>50) and a three nice snapper saturday before last at MP153. I will try it again, but if that don't work. I will head to shallow water to look for those lemons. Thanks for the heads up.

Gulf River Outlet has been productive this week on big cobia, mangroves and small red snapper...

I lost my riffe shaft to a nice AJ at 153. My riding rig slipped off my hand and I watched him swim away with it feeling like a jackass. We went over to the MP 41 area. I dove a couple platforms in the 60's. I think MP 62. The water was nice for the area with 20 ft murk on top, then 25' vis with murk on the bottom. The depth was 90'. I dropped in and shot a small cobia at 25' . Brought him straight back to the boat, went down and shot 2 - 10-12# snapper. Picked off a nice mangrove while on the way up. Went to the next platform over, saw some nice cobia but unable to get a shot before they swam off. Things were not really going my way on Saturday, just bad luck and lack of any real motivation on my part. I plan on going back some time this week. There is some real opertunity to kill some big Cobia in the MP area and I don't wnat to miss it.
