I have yet to see an abalone in Oregon waters.
Unlike California it's legal to harvest them with tanks here, so they're all gone.

When the abalone fishery opens up at Miguel and then later at the Farallons, I imagine you'll be able to sell quite a few. At least for a short time, anyway.

I have taken Oregon abs before. The reds are only at Port Orford and further south. They are not in great numbers and that is why the one ab a day limit. The world record red ab was taken in Curry County Oregon believe it or not!
