Oskar, musk, nickolay, and myself made it out for some freediving at about 11 am after getting fuel and running out to the spots. the viz was about 50 ft. the temp was cooler than usual maybe 78. winds 15 knts , seas 3-4 ft. We dove hard and made out well, nickolay shot the fish im holding , Other than the fish pictured we also got 3 more hogs, two more nice goes one of wich was about 22, 1 more very nice mack, and a black. Once again I had to wait till I was home to take the pics so the catch is minus the crew's share.

the future spearos had soccer pratice but they are already in trainning.

Do you get many of those Dog Snapper up in your neck of the woods? That one is nice eating size.

we see alot of the small ones but when they get a bit bigger they get super sly and rarely come out of their holes but if you pay close attention thet do slip sometimes and let you get close.
how about in the keys?

Good stuff guys. JC as soon as this damn deadline at work passes I'll be joining you again. I can't wait. I can see the macks were out in force. At what depth did you guys get them? Keep up the good sh*t.

macks are def. back in force, at the first spot I missed a nice size mack. i have to be one with my gun

yup that mutton was the best on my boat to date. I was at the boat putting a fish in the box, when Oskar says "dam I just lost a 10lb mutton" . 20 minutes later when we are getting ready to pull the hook to move. Nickolay lifts a nice fat mutton out of the water. He said he went down to look into a cave and he saw him looking out at him, he hit it with a textbook shot and saw its guts were hanging out when he pulled it out. We were all stoked..
