Alaska Halibut Spearfishing - Help

I have long wanted to spear a large Pacific halibut and need your help. I plan to try free and scuba. So far, the only folks I have talked to with success on getting 100+ pound class halibut have used scuba, but one was taken in 30 feet, so it could have been found on free. Do you know anyone who has expertise on Alaska halibut spearfishing? Please PM me with any contact info you can come up with. Thx!

Dave, see my response to your post in the other forum. I used to live in Alaska, and have spent many of the last 15+ years fishing and working there.
