I have scheduled my last spearfishing seminar for 2007 at Ocean Sports dive store in Dunedin, Florida. This seminar will take place on Wednesday evening October 10th from 6:00 pm to approx 10:00 pm. The fee is $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children 17 and under. Food and beverage will be provided at no additional charge. Seating is limited at this location so we will cap the attendance at 50 shooters. If you plan on attending I recommend you sign up early as these seminars have been selling out this season. There will also be approx $200.00 in door prizes given away.

Call Jim or Bob at Ocean Sports (727-733-1919) to register. They will take your credit card information and reserve you a seat. Sorry, no refunds!

The store address is:
Ocean Sports
2058 Bayshore Blvd
Dunedin, Fl 34698

This will be a comprehensive intermediate to advanced seminar. I will be covering custom speargun rigging, advantages of lineshaft/freeshaft setups, freeshafting, proper shot placement, optimizing compound shot angles, how to not lose fish, maximizing opportunities, how to get by with less power, and a whole lot more. Best of all, I will showing the incredible underwater shot videos provided by Captain Ben Bateman (aka Fishkilla) from the charter boat Holy Spirit. These videos have become a crowd favorite at our seminars and they really are the most powerful teaching tool we have.

Like I said, this will be my last seminar for 2007. We have purchased a brand new warehouse and we will be moving to our new location in mid October. We will be plenty busy making the move and getting settled in so we can be ready for the XMAS season. I will not be scheduling any more seminars until February or March of 2008. I look forward to meeting everyone and we really appreciate the tremendous support we have received from the spearfishing community.

Anyone who has not been to one of Kevin's seminars, no matter how new or experienced, should definately go. Even experienced spearfishers will learn something. It's definately worth every penny.

Kevin,

Is this not an abbreviated seminar - I have been to one of your seminars near Tampa. As I recall it was about 8 hrs. (I drove from Tallahassee and was not disappointed) I have also been to compressed seminar put on by one of your salesman -good but not nearly as thorough - in Tallahassee. Is this something in-between?

As I remember, even after your 8 hr seminar, I was still left wanting more. (Not criticizing just amazed at how much I didn't know.)

The presentation we do today is much different than the one you attended in Tally. The information we provide today at these events is much more comprehensive compared to what we were doing just a few years ago.

I just reerved my seat today. I've never been to one of your seminars but from what I hear I should be prepared to learn a lot. Since I turn 16 this monday, I should have plenty of cash for what ever I decide I "need" to get afterwards.

Talked to Jim today and he said there are about 8 seats left for this seminar. If you plan to attend you had better do it soon. Seating is limited to 50 for this event. Also, word is Fishkilla may stop by and videotape some of the presentation.

Still a few seats left (as of Monday the 8th) so if you can make it on short notice, give them a call.

Looks like we will have room for a few "walk in" shooters. Looking forward to meeting everyone tonight.
