Theres a picture of one guy with about a three pound boxfish. I'll bet that put up a struggle! They were also knocking wood guns. Ever extend a stainless gun with no flotation under water?

You would have to have one hunk of stainless to equal the stiffness of a mahogany stock. Then you would have to attach some nice big floats.

Stainless is for boat hardware.

S.N. I was looking at the gun that the shaft is fired by a 22 cal. shell like nail guns use. And not that I want to buy it but it is some thing differant . I would like to try it out I like any thing that gos BANG. The gun looks to short for its wt to matter much .The spear tips look like they would not make it though 1 dive in the gulf.

No I have not to the stainless gun I did have a JBL 450 HD for a while had a whole lot of power just not fast.

What is with the barbs on those shafts of the other models? How do you get that back through the fish?
