He all Jersy divers. Anyone going out, has been out. Is the wind ruining this weekends visibility? I was planning on going out tomorrow 9-30-07 to cape may, but don't want to make the trip if there's no chance seeing anything. Im sorta tired of diving in 1 ft vis. Anyone have any predictions or seen the water today? I know diff. places, diff vis, but lately (last 3 weeks) it seems everywhere is bad. Thanks.

bad bad bad... North wind is kicking things up ...Ocean was brown today.. North side of the squan was 5" and the iniside was 2feet at best...

I went out to Cape may today. Wind was only about 6 mph from ENE and the water was very calm. Yet, I, at best only got 6 ft vis. and mostly was 4ft. Water was brown (some bloom?). Same as last weekend actually, but the sun helped. Got 2 tog, but they were somewhat small for what we normally get at this spot (normally hit 19-22 in. today got one 18 and one 16 (but at 5 ft its take anything you see). Anyway, they tasted good. Hope this water clears soon.

Before anyone gets upset, I should clarify that I go out with a diving buddy, and when I say got 2 tog, I mean as a group.
Anyone have any luck this weekend in NJ?

I was out at shark river yesterday and today, I hit slack low yesterday and slack high today. Today the viz was great i would say almost 8 ft, saw a bunch of good sized togs, I biffed a shot at a nice big guy, shot right over his head, but still shot two good sized ones. yesterday viz was alright maybe 5 or 6 feet, managed to shoot a few nice sized tog also.

Njspearo...did you also want to clarify that you were out with a group of people that was equal to the amount of tog you shot???:bolt:

I was thinkin the same thing... Because i normally take extra care to shoot the ONE that im gonna eat
