From what I understand, there is really one place in Jersey where you can freshwater spearfish, and that's on a very large lake that borders NY State. I've forgotten what it's called, but it's somewhere in the fish and game regs for NJ state.

You can spearfish in Delaware River. But only with not mechanicaly propel shafts. So...no guns, only polespear and only non-game species. Always whant to know if this include catfish?

Spearman21 - yes, it is Greenwood Lake. You'll need to check the regs if you go, though, because it might be species restricted.

Yes I know that lake well since i used to fish there quite a few....lol... species restricted sucks....I mean how many people would really effect the population of bass and trout.......
