Ok guys, after posting this up as an idea I got a lot of responses from people looking to dive with new people in new areas. So I figured i would put up this thread and we'll network through here. This will be a good spot to talk with eachother and set up dives. So be sure to check the thread regularly.
To any new freedivers in Santa Barbara, join us and lets go diving!

We should get some meetings togeter, and meet up with all the spearos in SB

:yup: im down with a real meeting too, I think if we meet in person and exchange numbers we'd be more likely to call someone up when we go out.
when i go its usually on short notice depending on my schedule and using Spearboard to find a buddy is too slow

I agree that a lot of my dives are last minute so having a get-together of some sort might be nice. Maybe a BBQ or something. I would put a few bucks in for this or bring my share of food/drink. That way we could exchange some info.

sounds good. Where do you guys want to meet? What day? Etc...Meet up at a park mabey or a restaurant etc...

hey guys, i had a few of you call me, sorry i didn't call back as i've been EXTREMELY busy with school these last few days. i think we're going to put together a dive today (thursday) as i had 2 calls about it. let me call you guys back in the AM and i'll post up here the conclusion of the discussion. anyone who is free is more than welcome to come. I think for the group meeting we should go to Leds and dive and then BBQ after. we should plan it for maybe next saturday or soemthing. anyone unable to make a dive and BBQ at 4pm on Saturday Oct. 13? just plan on bringing a couple bucks or somethin to pitch for the burgers and HDs and we'll figure out logistics as the time comes closer. alright guys, enough for a late night after the bars, im sleepin!

ok guys, sorry i didn't get around to calling anyone and setting up a dive. anyone able to do a 4:00 dive tomorrow? lets try to find a beach with good sized lobsters. someone post a suggestion and we'll get it set up.

hey guys, ok, i'm beginning to wonder why i made this if i can't keep it up and dont have time to schedule dives. i guess i'm a little bit green to the sport to be calling the dives. someone, please post suggestions here as to great places to dive. so far i've only been to leds and mesa lane and didn't really see any legal sized lobster. those are the only 2 beaches i know of so please please please guys, someone make a rec and then post a time and i'll try to be there. the wind kinda sucked yesterday so i didn't even think it would be worth it. lets try to schedule something for tomorrow afternoon like around 3 ish. maybe deveraux? sp? i dunno guys, i'm more into spearboard to follow along and learn, not call the shots. thanks guys!

Hey lets make the bbq on the 14th not the 13th. Im really busy on the 13th and there will be no way I could make the dive/bbq. How does the 14th to you guys?

i would really like to go on a dive tomorrow with someone around 3:00. i'm not sure a good beach for bugs but if anyone would like to go bug hunting, let me know! ill check the thread around 1 to see if there's any bites. Please do suggest a beach though! i'm not sure about where to find bugs! thanks guys!

Dude you guys, I am so busy this weekend there is no way ill be able to make it the 13th or the 14th. How does next weekend sound? Im just to busy and there will be no way i could make it to the meet. You guys up for next weekend??
