Day one of Baja Tournament

Hey all you freshwater sport fans. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Weather is great except wind a bit. Lots of great reef hunting befor the tournament. Vis is 60 feet. Two fish brought in today after day one of comp. I shot a 11.25 Blue Jack and a baby wahoo 6 pounds. Lots of Hunting still to do. I seen a Marlin today and a nice rooster fish but passed on the rooster and no shot on the marlin. Every one wish me luck. Sorry its short I'll give more detail tomorrow or Wednesday. Take care

I got a call from james last night, check out the pics on the la paz link, he is now in second place, following the guy who shot the sailfish.

So I have slid to 5th after day 3 now because I missed a 20 lb dorado and didn't really see any other fish today. A lot of guys picked up fish today. You can see a lot of pics of the tournament on the La Paz tournament thread under the up coming tournaments section here on spearboard. Take care guys. Nice job James, 6th place...not bad for representing a land locked state! I know you wanted top 3 but I am sure you still walked away with some nice prizes! Got any more pics of the fish and festivities?
