no offense man, but the three other threads you started for this business should be enough to get you some leads. If you plan on blasting an ad every 2 days buy a sponsorship.

It is $950 for a offshore trip up to 6 people. If you set up a group that wants to go out 3 or more days in the time you are there a deal can be made. Inshore trips for spearing will also be dropped down.

CR spearfishing was hot this past week. The offshore rock structure at viente seis was paved with wahoo to 30 lbs less than 20 feet down. Below the wahoo were yellowfin to 25 lbs, big ajs, and below them you could get a shot on some nice snapper. Vis was 30 feet and expected to get better.

Everything in quepos is extremely primative. I have pics but can not post them cause the computers suck. I have been working nonstop and barely get to use the internet. However, I can tell you that I am non shitting you and the spearing is in fact hot right now. I may also be moving my work onto another boat. Either way if you plan on coming down contact me and you will get set up on a good trip.

good to know, my friends and I go to CR once a year and would love to get a chance to do some spearfishing. I've heard about the action at veinte y seis, how deep is it to get a shot at the big snappers on the bottom?
also, what is the best time of the year for 1-) visibility and 2-) fish
Thanks

The pinnacles at viente 75 feet at the shallowest pieces. To nail a snapper you are gonna have to hit 65 feet at least. The best vis will be in mid jan to mid march. The past 2 weeks have really been the first times that we have been able to do inshore dives because of the extended raining season this year. I predict that from this point on it will only get better.

I nailed that black drum in early august at the shrewsbury rocks. They tend to be down in your area around june and then migrate north. I actually encountered a school of well over 100 all in that size range moving fast and loud. I just happened to be posted behind a rock in 30 feet when they came by. I was shooting a 100cm rabitech stealth which I like to use in most NJ situations. With one 20mm band and 60 feet of floatline I had no trouble penetrating and landing that fish.

The Oystertoadman has mastered his skills in the pulpo hunt but has yet to produce a good meal out of them. One would think that a toad man with pulpo tats on him could at the very least cook the things. I expect to see a top of the line meal with that rainbow runner you killed yesterday.

You have first to beat++ the (dead) octopus with a stick in order to make the meat more flabby. In Med Sea it is cooked with a tomato sauce and spices (during the cooking you put a cork in the sauce wich make the meat more tender) or grilled on a bbq. The ink should be used for the sauce...
In my opinion, It is done thing to drink a (french/ italian) white wine.

Yeah ive tried many ways nothing seems to work... And as for the ink he had none cause he shot it all over me..... :thumps:

I had to evacuate CR do to some illegal boat activity that I did not want to be included in. If you want to know some good boats to go with in Quepos I can send you in the right direction, if not hit up Bombard. Hes got a good set up at the Reef Lodge. Are you guys scubies? Cause there is no infamy in that scene.
