Here is a concept from polarsub that may help prevent so many bent spears on railguns. I am going to mess with it to see how I can make it better, but here is the concept. What do think of it? Any ideas?

Looks pretty flimsy to me Rabinuts. Are you going for a record number of posts this year? Get the pics from this weekend? pretty Badass. Ranger is still on cloud nine and Greg won't let me forget it that 38lb is still small. Should have shot that bull shark instead of putting the second shaft into the Cobe so i could have come out on top, either that or one of those lionfish.

The pics are under the East Coast Area. I have heard good things about that setup. The string looks flimsy, but they say can hardly cut it with a knife. It would definitely save some shafts around the reef. Doubt I will use to break WR's.

thats the link where to buy them for $45...
sounds like a good concept, they slip right over a 7mm rob allen shaft and you just have to make your existing tri-cut tip into a rounded shape and remove the flopper so you can slide the slip tips line in...

but what prevents the slip tip from falling off? and those the loose line from the slip tip cause accuracy problems?

My friend Jerry modified Riffe slip tips. It is very streamline and it can hold 275 lb tuna (ask G.R.). It take him about one hour to do one since he braded line for about 4 inches from tip. And it holds. This line that he use we had hard time to cut with sharp knife. It is badass.

Sasa,
He shoots that on a Euro gun? What kind of line? Nice deer, by the way. Don't listen to the flack. They are just jealous they didn't get it... Hell, I would be happy to kill anything right about now! We're trying for a couple holiday trips, for stone crabs at least.

He uses 1400 lb. Spectra.
It very durable line and holds big fish (280lb Tuna).
I personally prefer cable for big fish but for euro guns and light shafts cable is too much drag.

Hey, Blake when we are going out???
