I think this would go in this section. LDS told me that as long as you are not filling your nitrox tanks to above 40%, that they do not have to be O2 cleaned, and can be interchanged with air. I know some people are gonna freak cuz I posted this, but I was wondering if that is true? I know that it might throw off the mix if the tank isn't completely empty when it gets filled, but other than that are there any real dangers to not designating your nitrox tanks if they are going to be filled with less than 40%?
If you put pure oxygen in the tank to get a mix then they should be oxygen cleaned.
If you put clean air in a nitrox tank that has been cleaned for oxygen service, then there should be no problem.
Possibly your dive shop pumps pre-mixed nitrox which means that pure oxygen never goes in your tank and it never needs to be cleaned.

Yeah, that's what another guy was tellin me. If they use a bank system(premix) then there's not a problem. If you put pure o2 in an air tank.......not good.
