JBL makes a pretty basic inexpensive one. It's less than $30 at the local sporting goods store. I have it on mine and it works good.

the gat-ku model is perfect for smaller fish, though I like their 3-prong for smaller fish. Their slip-tip is one of the smallest and most streamlined, I doubt you will find a smaller one.

Ray Odor makes a smaller slip tip, and it will work on big fish. For small fish -mangrove snapper, and other small fish a paralyzer is best. If they are getting off, you need to work on your technique. A paralyzer tip will go in easier than a slip tip, and if they are getting off a paralyzer the slip tip wont do you any good. For a paralyzer you need to hit it, and then push hard, which will spread the tines, and hold the fish good. Also a slip tip is for real big fish. If you want a barbed tip, just go to a spear with a single barb. Ray Odor also makes that. Slip tips can be a lot of work to get out of the fish, and also to keep on the spear. And heaven forbid you hit a rock hard with one!

Others may well have different and valid viewpoints, but in my experience:
I also found that 3-prongs in the usual Hawaiian Hybrid style did not have the holding power for fish much over about 10 pounds, which is the problem you seem to be experiencing. But I agree with Steve MC about pushing the fish after hitting it - often just water resistance is sufficient to hold the fish on. But if I was shooting fish up to 10 pounds I would choose my 3 prong every time over anything else.
I used a slip tip for a while, but it did not really have the weight to consistently punch a slip tip through a good sized fish (using a seahorse alloy base with 4 ft graphite extension making an 8 ft spear including a converter, and a Riffe icepick, standard but tight band, total weight about 750 grammes). I found on quite a number of fish in the 10 - 20 pound range that this setup didn't get the tip to toggle or go far enough through the fish, which resulted in some disapointments, although I recovered most of those disapointments by some luck and perseverance.
Since going with the Manny Puig spear, this has not been a problem for me, and I think 50% of the improvement is the single flopper setup, and the other 50% is the weight of the spear (1.5 kg).
I have been trialing a 1 kg fibreglass pole spear with steel tip section that also has a single flopper, and this has been quite good, although still I feel the lighter spear is not getting the bone-breaking punch I'd like to see on a 20 pound fish with thick gill plates.
I suggest you try a standard single flopper if you can't get good results with a slip-tip. Slip tips are for big, big, fish in general.

To answer hog hunter12s question Ray Odors tip has the tip which looks about like Gat Kus but his has an adaptor which screws on a spear where Gat Ku has a long adaptor which screws on the polespear. Looks to be about the only real difference. Also Ray uses cable Gatku uses spectra. I assume Gat ku maybe has a tapered shaft adaptor while Ray uses a shoulder to about 1/4" thick stub about 3/4" long. I agree with snpperwhisper about the weight being higher to push through fish-bigger fish. Also you need a long pole to get out there. I have also found that the stock bands are thin and long, and once you get used to the spear, change up to heavier rubber. Not huge, but next size up, and maybe a little shorter. You do need the rubber length to get the spear moving good, so have it where you grab the spear out a ways still.

The Sea Stinger is very slim and streamline. It has a great design that allows you to quickly and easily change tips if one gets stuck inside a fish, so you don't waste time cutting it out while you're diving. They are very strong and parts are readily available, (Florida Freedivers) affordable, and easy to replace. I just bought one a few months ago and have been very happy with it. I have taken grouper to about 25 lbs with it and have had no problems. The only issue I've had is when I shot at a grouper and missed with an 8' Ray Odor polespear and hit a rock. It bent the shaft pretty bad. I put it in a vice and straightened it out with no problem. They make two different models and I have the smaller of the two. I don't think the larger one would have had the same problem. I carry two extra tips and cables just in case my tip gets stuck inside a fish but so far, every shot has gone through and through perfectly and I have not had a single fish tear off. I'm sure the others mentioned work very well too, I especially would like to try the Gat-Ku tip, but this is the only one I've used and it has been a great investment.

i second the sea stinger.
works great for even small fish.
really slim so the holes in the fish are tiny, and it does not limit speed.
when you get a fish. you can disconnect the wire from the spear,
then just pull the wire through and take the tip out of the fish.
the others look like the the wire is permanently attached to the tip and the spear.
so i imagine it is pretty difficult to get the fish off your spear.
you can get a fish with this tip and take it out and be ready to go for more in like 1 minute

The Seastinger tip is in the Fl Freedivers secure online shopping section under polespears. From the home page click on shop and then from the next page click "ENTER our Secure Online Store". Then click on the polespears section and you will see them, they are the headhunter seastinger tips. I would put a link here, but the way their site is set up, it will only link to the home page.

A sea stinger would be your best bet. They have dealers in Florida.
