Ok everyone, I'm bored. And since I'm landlocked in Reno, NV I can't just "Go Divin". So, if anyone out there has any new bug/fish hunting stories please let us know. Anything...PLEASE!

I've got so many pictures similar to that I have no idea. It's been warm here, so I'd say that since we're wearing sweatshirts it was this past winter. Just giving Vic something to drool over that he can't find under a ledge in Reno!!! Trying to be funny, not being an A$$.

Do you guys hunt throughout the winter up there?

Absolutely. Winter is the best time. Grouper come in shallow, the lobsters get lethargic. It's great. Plus there's no one out there. Water temps will get uppers 50's at the coldest. Nothing a 3mil and a hood can't handle. Colder than FL, but not unbearable. Tropicals move out, so there's not a lot of color fish, but who cares when 20-30 lb grouper are everwhere. I'm excited to get out shortly as I hear the big genuines are showing up in masses. COOL!!

the bad thing about you guys is that you have a season, but down in the virgin islands it is open season all year long. did you get those bugs with a tank, cause anyone can sit in front of a hole for 20 minutes and piss the bug off till he comes out. try holdingyour breath.

Our season does not close here but we are only allowed 2 per person per day and no egg bearing females. We pretty much don't see bugs here until 100ft of depth, so if your breathholding and bug taking skills are that great more power to you.

melboring you show photos of you guys with lobster and you guys have tanks, but in the bottom of your repkys you have a guy with just a snorkel. do you freedive or tank dive? I'm not impressed buy you guys who tank dive and take numerous bugs with false air. try holding your breath and doing this. Ihope yoou guys eat what you catch and are not saling it. that would be degrading to the true bug hunter.

Jealousy rears its ugly head. I got mine on a rebreather (USN issue). Its like a breathhold with out the snorkel.

Kill Shot, If you can freedive to 100-120' and wrestle 8-10 pound bugs out of a ledge then you are the man.

You see in the last picture a fishing rod! That's what I caught all of them with. Yea, that's right a fishing rod...:cool:

Killshot just stay in your pristine waters and find whatever you want. 120 of murky water 45 miles from land in 120fsw with a 2knt current, I'm using a tank. So keep your "unimpressed" comments to yourself. And we're not "saling" anything jerk.

Since I'd already responded once to the closed minded attitude of killshot, figured it was a waste of time to say more, but now I'm curious. killshot why don't you enlighten us with some of your pics and the deep water you're freediving in to get them. I have a fair amount of time in the V.I.'s(both US and B) running yachts and know the reef system around there.
