I'm thinking about getting a smoker this holiday season. Do any of you have one? What are your brand recommendations?

The barrel ones with the fire box on the side are about the best for the money. Don't waste your money on the, stand on the end cylindrical, type that has the fire pit beneath the grill. The further away the fire box is from the grill, the easier it is to smoke stuff on.

yea marcus is right get one of the cheap barrel type as big as you can find with the biggest charcoal pan and buy extra racks brine you fish over night smoke in morning ceros or king my favorite but mullet real close 2nd mahi mahi good too most any oil fleshed fish will do i built a stainless steel smoker 4 ft high by 2ft sqaure takes alot of fish to fill it but it smokes great
