hey ya'll
me and my buddies from over here on the west side of florida love to go over to ft. pierce and dive for bugs but we hate to make the drive unless the water is going to be clear. it doesn't necessarily have to be calm seas out there we just need good vis to go pick bugs out of our ledges we have over there. if anyone lives close to ft. pierce and can give us an accurate vis report or better yet just drop me an email when there is good vis we'd be more than happy to take you out on our boat to go snatch some lobsta's
thanks,
ben

If nobody helps you out I would call around to a few local dive shops and ask if they get daily vis/temp reports. Last year I dove with a guy who collects fish for a living and he called the report in every morning after the fist or second dive to two local dive shops but I don't know which ones they were.
Just an idea.

Hey - I *might* be going wednesday too... (thought you said only the weekend worked for you?).
If the weather holds up. We has ~60' here last week, I don't expect that to change much even with the crappy weather we have right now.
I know where to find you.

Fishkilla,
The water reports have been clear, it's just that we're getting shitty weather all the time now, like one good day in between a week and a half of rough seas...I haven't been able to take that weekday off to hit it in between the fronts yet...:(
good luck to you guys if you hit it wednesday

Well....
went out today, weather was terrible.
140' had about 12 foot vis, 90 foot had about 12 inches - nice :)
It wil take a while for the water to clear up... till then.

Shooting dark swimming objects going by is never fun by we got 3 AJ's about 35# and one about 45# one non-detination on a 20# grey one 'lost in the cloud' 15# grey, a scamp and a blacktip on rod & reel.
Oh yeah, forgot the 500 gallons of rain and the 1500 gallons of seawater over the transom while backing into the seas out in the deep.
Did I mention it was a blast?

hehe... i hope those aj's taste real good after all that. at least you can say you were a man and went out and gave it a shot. i think we're going to be pulling a similar stunt tomorrow about 50 miles offshore.
