This is mainly for Charlestondiving
Rob, if you're still coming to Wilmington, I may be running that weekend. Got a call today about trips to the wrecks out by Frying Pan that weekend and there's room on the boat(group is solid guys who dive with me often) I'll confirm 17th and let you know. Surface water temp at the Tower Buoy today was 70degrees. I still have to do my TripleF trip to Charleston the 25th then back home.

Hmm, let me see. Spend the weekend with the In-Laws or shoot fish. Tough choice.
Hell Yeah I'm in! I have always wanted to dive frying pan shoals. My dad worked on the tower out there when he was a Navy diver. Will be cool to go and shoot fish on the same areas he used to shoot.
The wife and I will be headed to wilmington from Chas the 25th.

Hey guys, It's tough to organize a trip this time of the year, but if ya'll are definately going (weather permitting) my father and I might make a few dives in the same area. It's always nice to have multiple boats close during a winter tower trip! Water was 69-71 degrees (surface) at the tower tuesday 16th.

Rob this is the site I use for weather www.erh.noaa.gov/er/ilm/marine, more for the frying pan tower and buoy report than anything else.

Rob and Gumshoe the forecast isn't looking bad so bring your gear( I have air/nitrox available at the dock if you're planning both days). I don't have to go to Charleston so I'll be home all week.

2 tanks or 3?
What has the temp been lately - I want to dress appropriately.

Kinda borderline for us right now. Anybody definite? If so, when are ya'll planning to dive the tower...we'll try to dive it well before or after to let it settle a bit. Miss Brooke standing by on 69.:D

Had a slight change in schedule, Rob and Gumshoe aren't going now so I left the boat in Sneads Ferry and am going out of New River Inlet to do some ledges more to the North around the Lobster wreck so I won't be down around the Tower this weekend.
