Hi All,
The Composite Reel is in stock and is already on our website.
Sorry about the delay in getting them.

Please use the website to order, especially if you are just after a reel.
Those who phoned in prior reel orders will be shipped first.

The website front page has not changed yet, but we are working on that with a new webmaster recently hired.

However, Cherryl and myself are now populating the shopping cart as quickly as we can. For example we have added a bunch of shafts and bands, so please check it out.

Our aim is to try and add at least a hundred new items a week until it more closely resembles our actual shop inventory.

Thanks,
Mike.

One question Mike... What are the specs for the capacity of various reel line thicknesses?

The web site says 55 meters of 2 mm.

And a weight of 95 grams, or 3.35 ounces.

And how does it mount to A Rabitech Apex?

Thank you Willaim. So do you have to drill into yoru barrel to mount it?

Thank you Willaim. So do you have to drill into yoru barrel to mount it?

I would assume so, but then you have to drill into the barrel to mount the stainless steel RA reels too. I have a couple of the stainless reels, but don't have RA guns. However, I think I recall reading that RA had extended the barrel plug in the guns to make a safe spot for drilling.

I hope Mike Will clarify that for us.

Hi All,

Bill, thanks for filling in some of the blanks.

Unfortunately it is necessary to have to drill into the barrel to mount the new RA Composite Reel. This has been the case for both the s/steel and for the new reel.

The new reel does have a mounting adapter between the reel and the barrel. This allows the reel to be removed and installed quickly and also be moved to another gun. ie One reel - many guns.
BTW All the s/steel reels are now coming with the same mounting system.

The mounting holes for the composite reel are closer together and further back, than the s/steel RA reels.
Providing the adapter is snugged into the "V" on the bottom of the Vecta handle, there is absolutley no risk of the mounting holes breaking into the barrel airspace.

How these reels fit on other guns, and whether the barrel airspace will be compromised, will depend on the particular make of gun.
I certainly do not have any comments/recommendtaions on which make of gun the reel can safely be screwed into.

Thanks,
Mike.

Mike,

How about the old RA guns, room enough on them?
