Albacore in Oregon?!

I am interested and have invested a bit of time in doing my research... however i can't find much on Spearing Albacore off the Oregon Coast. As far as i know John Cheesman was the first and only? to do it successfully so far.

My question is this... setting up a float for the pacific coast, the biggest TUNA i would likely get would be MAYBE 40lbs. but all i have found is floats for TUNA 150+lbs, any thoughts would be appreciated. Is there anybody out here doing it?

A Riffe or Aimrite inflatable float should be plenty for albacore.

i know there are lots of albis in eureka (friends dad is a comercial ) the largest we have got in sc h and l is around 80# ,speared 30#
check neptonics for the tuna float
