Hey dudes,
I'm in NZ now and looking to head over to Indonesia in July to do some spearing and experience some of the culture. Does anyone have any contacts or know of any good dive sites? Also, if anyone wants, you could probably join me.
Also, anyone going out sometime soon in the North Island. I'm dying to shoot a King or any other fish... charter or not.
Thanks
Tim

Hey Tim, I just got word that there is some clean water off Napier and we may be headed out for Kings soon. There is also a possiblity of one last shot for a marlin off Taranaki. Give me your phone number and I'll text you if anything happens.

Some luck so far local guys to take you out for the day, but not cheap (unexpected) keep me posted as to what you find out there> maybe we can set up a dive together??

will you be freediving or on scuba? i did some spearing of Nusa Penida(Bali) before. pretty ordinary. current was ripping. and the fishes were very smart. they can recognise a gun. spent a whole day in the water and only got a baby doggy to show. i scuba the next day and got a couple of parrots and oriental sweetlips. i was using a gun from the dive shop. the indonesian customs can be a bit corrupted and might not allow you to bring in any guns, even though they sell them there.
