vacation?

ok guys so i got my ok to take vacation in july or august what do you guys think should i come home july or august. it doesnt matter to me ill be surfing and fishing either way. cant wait to see jersey again miss that place. we will be lobstering a bunch guys and shooting all kinds of fishies. well input from you guys would help not because i dont know the weather more like when ill have lots of dive buddies to go out with.

august generally is a better month than july.

I say either one. July is flatter than August surf wise but not by much. Viz wise it's a toss up. I was keeping fishing logs a while ago that I would add my dive info into and July/August always looked like a toss up viz wise (inshore and in my area). August wins fish wise for variety. While early July does better bass wise but only during the colder springs. In other words it seems like a complete toss up luck of the draw thing to me! Both months sort of blend together with little difference except for at the top of July and bottom of August. I say come August hope for good diving viz then a hurricane swell right before you leave. Probably never happen like that but cross your fingers you never know.

last time i was home i got perfect 6ft A frames at casino pier for 3 days it was awesome. didnt get to dive though last time but i will this time if vis is good. its so hard to decide i love all the scattered ass in july but then again waters so warm and a chance of a hurricane in august. guess ill just wait it out. hows the fishing lately? got my first white seabass the other day out here it was pretty rad. kinda like striper only they are all in the kelp and a bitch to get out of the kelp when they tie up.
