Sask and Julie Nightdive

julie and i dove salt creek last night. The viz was decent and the full moon helped out alot. We hit up some rock piles and saw quite a few legal lobsters.... but i have not had any luck grabbing any. It was very frustrating so we gave up and decided to work the surf line. We were cruising in about 5 feet of water... we saw alot of baby halibuts and baby stingrays. I did come across a nice flattie, about 10-12lbs.... its amazing how they stick out like a sore thumb...anyways, i shot it with a lil Riffe Teak 00 with a flopper... it looked like I stoned the flattie... so i gave it a few moments and the darn thing went NUTS and worked its self off the spear! I am really bummed because the thing would have died shortly afterwards, such a waste. Well, i wont make the same mistake tonight, i will be using my MT3 with a large 2 barbed head.... its way OVERKILL, but at least i know when i shoot the flattie the spear will go all the way through it and halfway into the sand!!! The surf got quite large afterwards so we decided to get out.... hopefully tonight proves to be more successful.

Poor Sask,

You and Julie have got to come up here and dive!!! I've got my limit in about 30 min the last few nights, with bugs up to 7 lbs.
Let me now if you wanna hit up some of my spots.

Brandon, is that a polite way to avoid the question!!haha, Let me see, the cooordinates to my limit filling secret dive spots are........... Just kidding, I'm sure you would share the wealth. Hey you might even take somebody you don't even know to your favorite spot! Hell, I'll volunteer, we could even work out a trade and I'll get a small caravan of my bros together and we can hit up abreojos when the seasons right!!!
