I was going to try and make it out to SCI on monday aboard the islandpackers boat, but I am concerned about the wind. Has anyone been lately, is it getting blown out? I would be going specifically to Prisoner's Harbor.

Go to the NOAA site and see what the weather is doing.

Check the other one at Oceanside and it will give you a good idea of what's going on out there. Good luck.

Bill I was looking at your report, up towards the top it say Combined seas. Not sure what that means. Ground swell and wind swell (combined)??
Thanks Chris

I don't know how meaningful my comment would be since it is a week old but we were out there last Saturday and Sunday. Pyramid head was 64F, kelp is thick and nobody home.

There was a fleet of fishing boats from San Diego working the east end of the island. Most were drifting north to south on breezing YTs. The surface temp then was whopping 75F.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I think I will book my spot if there is room and hope for some halibut.

Brian, I think you are making the same mistake I do. When we say SCI, we mean San Clemente Island. I think he meant Santa Cruz Island.

Yes, sorry for the confusion I should have just said Santa Cruz Island
