View Full Version : Wanted :Vero Beach Diving Info

Hi,

I'm looking for some info on shore diving from Vero Beach. I thought about using a scooter to get out a little farther. It seems I'm getting different info on conditions. From what I can gather West wind is best or light winds for a few days. Vis can be 5', but need some advice?

crystal clear off the beach right now, should stay like this until tomorrow. Stronger east wind on friday may stir it up. You can pick your spot just by looking from the beach.

Go into Deep Six Vero, Jensen, or Stuart.... We have flyers detailing most shore diving sites from Bathtub to Sebastion.... we might be able to fax you one too... call Jensen at 772-692-2747

west wind is best . viz varies . start looking at vero and if viz is off head towards fort pierce untill the surf starts to clear. lots of shootable fish along the whole coast. they are concentrated under alot of the ledges. bring a good dive light.

Thanks for all the info. My wife and I drove to Vero Beach at 7am to catch the incoming tide. Vis was 5'-10' better then expected:D . Did a 94 minute dive which was about as long as my wife was willing to spend while I shot 3 Sheepshead. Did not see much in the way of bigger fish, but I'll take it when we can't go to West Palm or High Springs.

Pick up a copy of Ne Deloaches "Florida Dive Guide". It has all sorts of info on the Vero area.

We dove that wreck east from the Ocean Grill. I know not the best place, but was a much better idea then cutting the grass. :D

I have Underwater Florida, but it is very generic, outdated and just gives his popular spots.

Anyone who dives down that way feel free to PM me. I'm game day or night.
