Hello all,
I just moved to Long Island (Port Washington), and am looking for a spearfishing buddy(ies)...
My background is as follws: I'm a certified SCUBA diver (PADI Rescue Diver) and former commercial diver (The Ocean Corporation, Houston, TX) with more time underwater than I care to remember or log anymore. However, that was about 9 years ago. Now I dive purely for recreation.
As far as spearfishing goes, I'm a rookie. I've shot a few fish out on the rigs in the Gulf but that was on the job sites and didn't really have the time back then to really get into the sport. My freediving skill isn't half as good as it used to be, but I'll be working on improving it.
SO...if anyone here is looking for a fishing buddy and willing to help and coach a rookie I'd love to meet up and check out the local waters.
