The top 5 winners were Ricky Hampton, Dan MacMahon, Jason Stanley, Rich Waters and Jason DelaCruz.

Shelby LaCasse won women's and juniors - and gave the juniors awards to the next junior in line! Don't have his name until I watch the video.

Right, the whole fish were weighed. There are more tournaments that weigh them whole than not... that I know about, from Louisiana to Key West.

Chad, thanks for being there and taking the time to get those pic's. This was the first time I've speared in the SOD. Had a fun day. The tournament was a well run, really fun event. We had a blast shooting in it. And all proceeds went to diver's rights. Hard to beat that combination.

Thanks to the FSDA for putting the tournament on, I think this was the 45th year for the SOD, that's pretty impressive.

My appreciation to the guys on my boat for their hard work and efforts.

Kudo's to Shelby Lacasse for her true sportsmanship...I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree!

A special congrats to my partner Ricky, for his first place showing. Great job brother! Truly impressive!

Heres a couple of pics I snapped before the storms blew in! The rain came in so hard that further picture taking was impossible......

Ricky with a pair of ginormous gags...not a bad pair of fish for a single dive on tournament day!

Impressive sweep again Dan, Ricky and crew! I missed a photo of Jason with a fish or a trophy.

It's a hard thing to guess an aggregate winner by just watching a double weigh-in without scores, but I called it right this time, guessing Ricky had the overall edge despite not taking a single biggest fish. While dodging fish splatter & coolers... it's amazing that I saw enough to do it. Congrats Ricky!

It was great to compete with all of you.

But I'd like to recognize my father for not only being my captian but for being my main inspiration.
I couldn't have done it without him...or his spots

Just wanted to say thanks to the FSDA; Bill, Scott and the rest of the voluntaries for putting on a great tournament, it was both fun and a great way of losing 10 lbs. of water weight.
A special thanks to Dan for coming up with a dive trip that put us on some awesome fish.

heh, 70th place, man im a true champion!!! HAHAHA!

Anyways, the gutting rule was part of the divers meeting deal. They changed that rule so everyone who was at the meeting would know they didnt have to. this way people who skipped the meeting would wind up at the weigh in with gutted fishes thus resulting in a Dis-qual for not being at the mandatory divers meeting ensuring a fair start for all divers.

I DID SEE A GUTTED BARRACUDA COME OUT OF SOMEONES COOLER. I DONT THINK THEY WERE DQ'ED , JUST DIDNT GET TO WEIGH THE INDIVIDUAL FISH.
