I was given an old technisub Juguar spreargun. I assume that it is a pneumatic gun, but I don't see where you would pump it up. Does anyone know how it works? If it requires a pump, where would I get one? This gun won't replace my band guns, but I guess it makes me a collector.

Thank you,

Old Spearo,
Welcome to the late 60's and early 70's. Thats the era of that gun. There is a rubber/plastic cap at the rear of the gun that screws off. The cap is used to protect the threads where the air pump connects and provides the slot that shows you how much pressure is in the pneumatic chamber. I have no idea where you could find an original air pump for this gun, and mine isn't for sale. I suggest you buy/build an adapter that will screw into the pump threads and use something to connect to it to pressurize the gun. Be extreamely careful if you use a high pressure source to fill the gun as the max pressure is only 18 atmospheres, slightly less than 270 PSI. Personally, I think you would be wiser to keep it as an UNPRESSURIZED souvenir.

JimB,
Thank you for the info. I think you are right about not using the gun. If the gun is that old, I'm sure any seals would be in bad shape.
