I recently purchased an eagle cuda fishfinder. I am curious where everyone mounts the transducer. I've been thinking about finding a way to bungee it under my kayak but figured I'd ask first.

I you want it permanent mount it inside the hull pointing down through the bottommake a puddle of marine goop and twist it into it until you can feel it hitting the bottom make you btwist the transducer to get out any air bubbles.

That is what I did. If you have too much goop between the transducer and the hull it can off gas. The goop will get a bunch of bubbles in it and it will not be the right density for the transducer to work. You also want to put the transducer in a spot where the hull will remain in contact with the water even in a swell. Under the seat is much better then in the stern or bow.
