Oh my lord $250,000! - a Monster Spear Wars Blue Storm Raffle Prize!

I stopped by one of our fantastic Spear Wars Blue Storm Tournament Series sponsors Friday - Henley Pole Spears - and had a long talk with Scott Henley the owner of Henley's Custom Marine in Jupiter. Scott is going to put his top-of-the-line Henley Pole Spears on the prize table for the Palm Beach Blue Storm Open and our Keys tournament. Thank you Scott!

But, the really exciting thing is that he and Grand Slam Tournaments are enabling the Spearboard community to participate in an incredible raffle of a brand new Bahama 31 boat which has an 11 foot beam. The boat prize comes complete with twin Mercury 275hp Verado engines, Birdsall Marine Design T-Top and Leaning Post, Float-On Triple Axle Trailer, electronics equipment, and sponsored merchandise.

This prize is worth over $250,000 and the proceeds of the raffle go to several very deserving charities.

The odds of winning this super prize are pretty good as there will be sold no more than 12,500 tickets at $25.00 each or 5 for $100.00. The raffle drawing will be held on Saturday May 9, 2009 at Carlin Park 400 South State Road A1A Jupiter, Florida 33477. The winner need not be present to win and will be contacted via telephone at the time of the drawing if not in attendance.

Go to http://www.fishthegrandslam.com/ for raffle rules and ticket purchases.

The Bahama 31 boat will be on display at the Palm Beach Blue Storm Open. :toast:

Everyone can check out this amazing vessel up close. Some images of it are shown below. We will have at least 20 of the raffle tickets as prizes on the Palm Beach Blue Storm Open prize table along with the Henley Pole Spear products.

See you at the PBO event and once again a big cheer for Scott Henley! :thumps:

I went by Henley Custom Marine today and took more detailed photos of the big raffle prize.

Guess I had to make sure I was not dreaming yesterday. ;)

The artwork is amazing! :notworthy

I had the great pleasure of spending time with the artist Cary Chen at last year's Blue Wild Expo & Seminars put on by Sheri Daye.

Here are some of the sponsors of this prize. Remember all the money goes to charity! :yay:

There are some real bonus elements to this raffle prize.

For example, Budweiser is supplying a year's supply of beer. :yippee:

The spacious room on this boat with an 11 foot beam is wonderful.

The center has plenty of storage.

Congrats!

Post back the details of the paper work and expected out-of-pocket costs from you. They would be interesting to know given the scale of the prize.

Did you buy your ticket through the Spear Wars tournament series or through the multiple other fishing derbys it was shown at?

Boat was exactly what I thought- beautiful! There are a few cash offers floating around so I am not sure if we will keep it yet or not, but the taxes would be 6.5% sales and around 30-36% income depending on my deductions. Will post more afterwhile..

Tickets bought though fishtheslam.com BUT I first heard of the raffle here.
