Moving to Anchorage Alaska

I am moving to Anchorage Alaska for work and wanted to know what kind of spearfishing I can find.

I lived in Anchorage for a few years in the mid-90's (moved there from Michigan) but that was before I took up diving. Lately I've been having a case of Alaska wanderlust, so I'm completely envious of someone that is going to be heading up there. Interested in knowing what you find out about the spearfishing opportunities. If you don't have one already, I'm sure you'll quickly be an owner of a DUI CF200! Best of luck to you.

When is the best time to go spearfishing in Alaska.
I will be in Anchorage by the end of September.
I'm just trying to see were the best spearfishing is and when.
