Had the chance to dive out of Ponce yesterday with LurkerMike... Seas were pretty decent on the way out, but picked up a little bit, so we decided to stay in closer. Of course, once we got out there, it layed down but we were already anchored up, so in we went. 1st dive, got a HUGE something-fish!!! Not sure if it was a small Cubera, or a near-record Mangrove... pics will be posted later, you guys tell me (cant remember how to tell the difference... something about a triangle-shaped roof in its mouth??) Also got a nice Yellowtail. 2nd dive, moved to a spot about 5 miles South... drop down to see not much of anything decent, til HOLY CRAP look at that ARS!!! Not the best shot, but good enough to go on my HOD. then a few minutes later, ANOTHER ONE SAME SIZE!!!! Woohooo, game on!! Got this one also, and now Im stoked, completely forgot that I was only wearing a 1/2-mil suit... love that adrenline! Got back in the boat, commented to LM that next time he may need a bigger cooler!!! ARS 1 went 25", ARS 2 went 26"+, and the big ?? fish went 27"... unfortunately no scale available. A most spectacular day on the water, cant thank LM enough for the invite, the hospitality, and putting me on the fish!! Will post pics tonight when I get home (no PC cable for camera here at sisters house), hope you guys can help ID the the Mangr-era fish!!

What a great day !!!! Thanks for all the tips & techniques. Be sure to give me a call next time your headed up this way. I hope you weren't too late for your dads B-day (but I'm sure he'll understand). Looking forward to seeing the pictures and some kind of ID on the fish in question.
