Blue Wild Expo / Pole Spear

Just wondering if any of the custom pole spear makers like Arron Crist or Gat-Ku will be at the Blue Wild Expo in Feb. I would like to see the different pole spears in person and handle them. If not hopefully I will check out all the different pole spears from our members at the pole spear workshop. Who going?

My wife and I were planning on going when I had spoken with OceanEd about it a couple of months back. This is the first I heard it being in Feb. Do you have any dates and who is the contact person...Sheri Day?

Certainly looks like an awesome event with some great personalities there as speakers. One day I'll come over and get out with you guys when our kids are a bit bigger. But to be fair, our diving ain't that bad on our own doorstep. We could always run an international pole spear comp here at Great Barrier Island (http://www.greatbarriernz.com/) or Urapukapuka Island (http://www.zanegrey.co.nz/)one day.

Wow!!! Those Islands look amazing! I know your diving is good, I have seen your pics. I have seen alot about New Zealand or the Outdoor channel (fishing, hunting channel) it looks spectacular, I would love to go. I was kidding, I meant that if you traveled from New Zealand to Miami (which would cost a ton of money, to go to an expo) we would need to hook you up.

We are going to try to have as many pole spear makers as possible come to the Workshop. They will get all the time they need to "show and tell" their pole spears. We are also going to try to have as many different kinds of poles spears there as we can get so everyone can see them and hold them.

We are also working on a segment to give everyone as many ideas as possible on how to customize and personalize their pole spears.

It should be a very unique Workshop on pole spears. I don't think it has ever been done before.
