 Is this normal? I noticed about two cups worth of water sloshing around when I put my kayak up in the garage. I don't have any hatches so I ruled out the leak there. Any ideas on why? Do I need to get the water out?

The kayak I use is not water tight. I think it leaks at some of the pop rivits and there is a drain plug on the bow that is not water tight if I go through waves I get a little water inside. About a cup or two I did not notice it the first time but left a rag in the yak. It molded and stank. I now drain it and leave a hatch open to dry.

seepage (spelling?) is common in most kayaks especially at the hatch but since you stated your kayak does not have a hatch I would start checking the scupper holes it is not uncommon for the scupper holes to develope small cracks causing leaks especially if they have been caused stress like from using those carts that have uprights that go into the scupper holes.

Carry a big sponge in the hull and it will catch most of it, and it will help you get it out when you need to.

Just realized, you probably meant "INflitration".
If you have flushmount rod holders, the caps on the ends can leak. Marine goop those babies down.
In a dark garage...put a bright flash light inside the hull and look for pinholes.
Usually, I'll get a cup or less of water inside. More if I submarine the nose into a wave. That's what the drain plug is for. if you don't have one, they're just a couple bucks.

use 3m brand 5200 marine sealant any where there is a hole in the yak but some seepage is normal when plowing under waves. I have 4 yaks and all take on water dry out in garage get ready for next trip. good luck
