N.Y. Striper regs

Going out to Montauk first week of Oct. I know the enforcement is very strict out there for fisherman and they often board boats. What if anything do I have to know if I decide to dive while out there? From what i understand spearing follows same rules as fishing. Any one have a better clue?

2 fish total per man @ 1 fish 28" - 40" and 1 fish 40" plus
