A few months ago wrassled this Bug into submission. We were wreck diving SE of Moorehead City NC in 115 ft of water . Its my biggest Spiney Lobster yet but Im sure lots of giants are still out there waiting to be brought home.

No scale but the boat captain guessed 9 or 10 lbs. Of course U/W it looked big enough to star in a Sci- Fi alien film

Mobile Diver ... good to hear from ya. unfortunately we are back in Md after the 5wk Keys spearing trip. We dove Cassimere 1st then this old sunken barge. I think we were about 40 miles away from Moorehead City on a SE heading.

Mobile Diver, if you go to the California section, lobster stories thread, you'll see some examples of our Carolina Bugs. The ledges are the place to get them though.
Md Spear, who were you chartered with?

Great Job on the Bug. I would take a lobster like that over a 25 lb grouper any day.

Hector
you need to snake some TAD to Camp Lejeune and I'll put you on some ledges where you can find both or maybe a Hog too.
