I'm a newbie here on the So Cal Board...................been certified since 1982 when I was 13, but haven't actively dove in the past 4 years. I am just getting back into the sport this year. How is your club suited for a relative novice to spearfishing??

GHRousseau, as someone who was in almost exactly the same shoes as you, I can tell you that this club will suit you fine. We have divers with a wide range of skill levels and interests. I just got back from tonight's OC HUnter meeting, and it was a good one. I highly recommend joining if you can.

Dang! I missed out on putting faces with online handles again tonight! I had to leave early from the meeting, but with the schedule of events coming up this year I'm sure we'll all get the chance to just hang out a little more, and soon!
New divers will feel right at home, I already do. ;)

hey guys i'm the one (ryan) who was talking about diving in san diego and i have a boat dont think i made things very clear it's a 33' cris craft express. I can comfortably take 5-6 divers including my self to the coronados islands all i ask is that we split the fuel cost by the way, the meeting was cool thanks for having me. Thank you, everyone for coming - you all need to come for the BBQ it's going to be a blast, I'm going to see if my friends band "Common Sence" can play for us at the beach, he's also a spearfisher. Salt Creek is a great spot for some big white sea bass, so you all need to get in the hunting mode. Don't forget your party hat & dancing shoes, also bring the family.
