Hello and Merry X-mas to all

I have been reading multiple posts, mostly reports, and keep encountering the term "mangoes" or "goe's"...even "go's" Please forgive my ignorance but, is this a reference to the Mangrove (or Gray) Snapper? Or perhaps a species I am unaware of? Thanks for the clarification.
