Cool! I'm going to hit right now. Hopefully I'll have a arm full of bugs too.

I think it would be nice if reports like this could include scuba or freediving, boat or beach diving. I'm not meaning to come across as some sort of freedive purist, but if you dove scuba from a boat in 100 feet of water, then it might be nice to say so so that some freediver doesn't go down there and find out the surf is way to big for him to go in over the rocks.

His user name is "Scuba Fever". I am going to go out on a limb here and say he was on scuba.

Yes, I noticed that. The request for scuba vs free was more of a general request for everyone.

Now did he go in over the beach? If so, maybe I can. Or did he jump off a boat and it would be life threatening for me to try to go in off the beach.

ever since the swell at the end of last week, you've had to pick your spots getting in or out to avoid a beat down on the rocks around here.

swam from rat damn near to flat rock looking for visibility on tuesday. by the time i found it, i was pretty tired. yesterday i opted for the rocks and came out unscathed.

3' long fins + swell + slippery rocks = fun

With this swell, Long point entrance and exit on SCUBA requires a great sense of timing and a lot of hustle. There are a lot of rewards though, the whole rocky area (esp. west) is a breeding ground for bugs.

I have to agree with Bill on this one. Though its obvious it was on scuba, some more information would help avoiding someone getting hurt or wasting their time/gas by trying to get out there from shore if the guy went on the boat. Hes just looking out for other divers ;)

Sorry People, I just assumed that It was known that I always use SCUBA and dive from the SCUBA FEVER dive boat out of King Harbor with divers from the Scuba Fever Dive Team. I'll be more specific from here on.:cowboy:

I agree. Scuba Fever is a local legend. I just figured everyone knew he was a scuba and boat diver. Heck of a hali slayer as well.

Most def you must have been on Scuba. I just got back from free diving PV. The viz was zilch. From top to down to 20 feet couldn't see more than a foot or two. Did see one small white sea bass that buzzed me.
