I just noticed a scratch on the PLASTIC lens of my Aquasphere low-volume mask. It's not deep enough to cause a leak, but it's enough to slightly annoy me when I wear them.

Any tips on scratch removal?

Thanks in advance!

If it's an Aquasphere, I don't know if there's anything that can be done. Those plastic lenses scratch so easily, even if you could fix, it it might scratch again soon.

However, I have heard that you can get replacement lenses. When I took the PFI course, Kirk told me that the Aquasphere has been discontinued, but there is a similar mask made without a nose cover. Apparently, you can buy that mask, and pop the lenses out and use those as a replacement. Never tried it myself, though. Your best option might be to suffer through the scratches until it gets unbearable, then get the replacement lenses.

Hope that helps.

if its on the outside it shouldnt matter the water fills it in or so my friend tells me, he dives with a mask that washed up on the beach. it looks like someone rubbed it with sandpaper its so beat up. but he insists it looks perfectly clear in the water
