New Freediving Photo & Video Club in Southern California

Hi Everyone. I wanted to inform you all that I, along with the help of my best friend Will Laribee (SASK), are putting together a Southern California Freediving Photo & Video Club.

We are still working out the details, however I am very interested in hearing from you all on what you would like to see from the club. We plan on having a monthly meeting which will be held at my Newport Beach store (we have a waterfront classroom with an HD projector and surround sound). At each meeting, H2O Photo Pros will be providing all drinks (water, sodas, beer, wine). We will ask that everyone bring some food to share as the meeting will be a pot luck (BBQ will be available).

That sounds awesome, PM sent. One thing I'd like to see from the club is meetings scheduled on weekends. That way, LA divers like myself could make it.

Sounds good. All our meetings will be held on Saturday nights so members from around Southern California can attend.

Our current dive club, Club Aquarius, also meets on Saturdays at 6 PM. So there is time to dive during the day, but still attend the festivities.

Yes this club will be open for anyone to join, and we encourage everyone to check it out. Whether you already shoot photo & video, or if you are looking to try it out, this is the place. We will be organizing trips and classes dedicated to freediving, and freediving P&V, as well as trips and gear demo days.

Outstanding! When's the first meeting?

Hi nate, Ive heard a lot about you (good of course). Will and I are still planning the first meeting. I think it will be the beginning of December. I will be out of town most of November (I have to go to Tahiti, I know it sucks doesnt it).

I will keep everyone posted with details as they come up. I am also working on a website for it.

IDEAS for the club name??

If anyone has ideas for a name, as opposed to just Freediving P&V, give me some suggestions. Im all ears!
