......I may be traveling to New Caledonia next year. Was wondering if anyone out there has done spearfishing there? If so perhaps you could direct me where to go. Mahalo

Definitely check out the "Spearo's Corner" at http://www.fishing.net.nz/asp_forums/forum_topics.asp?FID=11. Lots of guys travel to the islands to get their winter spear on.
