I just received my new Gat-Ku 6' polespear- looks awesome!!!
The rubbers seem really flimsy, but I'm sure a ton of research went into the entire weapon.
Anyway, can I replace the bands on my own?? Is there a DIY band replacement for the 6' Gat-Ku?????
It looks really easy, but Im wondering about the band strength.
Mahalo!

i use the rubber dustin puts on them. its plenty fast. no need to change it. gotten a lot of fish with that flimsy rubber. just try it out first.

Thanks!!
But I mean as a replacement band should this one break....I won't remove the one Dustin installed.
I wanna know how to make replacements, or if there is an easy replacement other than ordering new bands.

Surf2live, have you tied speargun bands? tying polespear bands is the same as tying speargun bands except the rubber used is a thinner diameter. I use 3/8" rubber for polespears and I have replaced my gat-ku band with one I tied after the origional band started to show some rot (I did not rinse it very thoroughly sometimes) I used the same wishbone piece from the original.
