Recommendations for GBR outfits

Just got my dates set for my Australia trip! I'll be bouncing around a bit but plan on being in Cairns from 12-17 January. Can anyone recommend a dive shop or live aboard outfit that they know personally or have had a positive experience with? I'm obviously looking to dive the GBR, but have also found some trips up to the Coral Sea and the Ribbon Reefs. Is one trip better than the other?

I'm also looking for any spear-friendly charters out of this area. Any recommendations? I have not found much on-line as of yet.

pm "judge" on the board he is in with the adrenaline spearfishing crew i believe and he was very helpful and provided me with a wealth of information when i went to australia last year. cant find the link but adrenaline spearfishing is based in brisbane and they charter trips to the GBR and the coral sea i believe. i dove the coral sea last december and it was amazing! by far the best diving i have ever experienced :thumps:
